What is Human Geography?
Human Geography examines societies and cultures in relation to space, analyzing how people interact with their environment, create places, and organize territories. It explores themes like population, economy, politics, culture, and urbanization, with the goal of understanding how humans construct and transform the world.
At UdeC Geography, the academics in Human Geography delve into a wide range of topics, including geographies of innovation, housing, and legal issues; geographical imaginaries, territorial planning, urban and rural spaces, gender studies, and intercultural research, among many others.
