Facilities
The Physical Geography laboratory is dedicated to research and teaching in Geomorphology and Soils, offering an academic environment of excellence. The laboratory equipment also includes advanced instruments that facilitate detailed studies in hydrology, climatology, glaciology, and geodesy, thus promoting innovation and scientific development and teaching in these areas.
We have a wide range of software that promotes the development of various geospatial research, from urban spatial cadastres to trend analysis of natural landscape change. Geographic Information Systems such as ArcGIS, image processing software such as ENVI-IDL, programming languages such as Python, are just some of the tools available. st some of those available.
The graduate room is a space dedicated to teaching activities for the programs offered by Geography UdeC. The room has desks, network points, and WIFI, constituting a work space for students to develop their research and meetings.
In the library, members of the Geography UdeC community have access to modern literature of the discipline, such as books, journals, manuals and reports. There is a study room for students and faculty. Additionally, the Geography UdeC community has access to all the physical and electronic resources of the University’s library system.
